Meet Chuck Stark

Chuck Stark, Licensed RealtorChuck Stark is a licensed Realtor who entered the real estate field in 2010 after retiring from a successful career in industry. He is the owner and Broker In Charge of CS Realty (Charleston Southern Realty, LLC) and holds Real Estate licenses in both North and South Carolina.  Early in 2015 Chuck relocated his successful Real Estate business from Charleston, SC to the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  As it did in the original location, CS Realty continues to offer a full range of brokerage and property management activities for Clients seeking the highest level of Customer Service.  In his previous occupation Chuck worked as a program manager overseeing a portfolio of research programs in the areas of advanced energy, engineering, manufacturing and healthcare industries valued at over $60M.  He is a trained facilitator with expertise in contract negotiations, compliance, budgeting, and operations management.

Prior to embarking on his industry career Chuck worked for over 20 years as a professional horseman in nearly all aspects of the horse industry including teaching, training, coaching, showing, race horse and show horse sales, farm and stable management, and horse show management as well as being a certified professional blacksmith.  He owned his own company that developed and sold computer software used for managing horse shows and tracking point standings for horse show associations.  He remains active in the equestrian world today riding, teaching and judging horse shows.  Chuck serves the local community as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Polk Equine Emergency Rescue (PEER).  PEER a Non-Profit organization 501(c)(3) operates two fully equipped Equine Ambulances devoted to large animal emergency rescue in Western North Carolina & Upstate South Carolina.

He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the proud father of three children: two sons – the eldest an Officer in the U.S. Army National Guard and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law; his younger brother who served with U.S. Marines in Iraq and is now a full time student; and a daughter who earned her degree in Sports Management at the University of Louisville.  He enjoys spending time with Theo (his Chocolate Lab rescue), riding, golfing, boating, fishing, flying kites, and roasting his own coffee as well sharing the marvels of the Blue Ridge Foothills with friends and newcomers.

Chuck earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the State University of New York at Binghamton and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Miami – Florida.
